Anastacia Janovec is an accelerated PhD student in Interpersonal and Health Communication. Prior to enrolling at the Univeristy of Georgia, Anastacia earned her B.S. in Communication Studies at the Univeristy of Wisconsin - La Crosse with minors in Psychology and Business Administration. Her research interests include family communication, bullying experiences and disclosure, aggression, and disability communication within families and how they talk about "difficult" topics. She is also involved in research with racial microaggressions on predominantly white campuses.
Anastacia's research focuses on parent-child communication in families with an individual who has a cognitive disability.
