Taewook Ham is a Ph.D. student in Interpersonal and Health Communication. Prior to joining this program, he received his M.A. in Communication from San Diego State University, and his B.A. in Communication Studies from California State University, Chico.
Taewook’s research interests focus on health and mediated communication. He is particularly interested in media effects, risk perception, and information seeking.
In addition to his research interests, he taught COMM 103: Oral Communication at San Diego State University. Taewook is now teaching COMM 1500: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication.
Taewook Ham is currently working on a Dual Theoretical Approach to Exploring Viral Trends: Understanding News Media and Perceptions of the Zika Virus.
