Jeremy Grossman
Graduate Student

Jeremy came to the University of Georgia in the Fall of 2011 as a PhD student in Rhetoric and is currently a Presidential Fellow. He is also the editorial assistant under Dr. Barbara Biesecker's editorship of the Quarterly Journal of Speech. He earned both a B.A. (2008) and an M.A. (2011) from Colorado State University in Communication Studies, with an emphasis on Rhetoric and Media. Past research includes the rhetoric and politics of post-apocalypticism, feminist rhetorical theory, and rhetorics of Cold War civil defense and contemporary national security. His current research project centers on utilizing the work of Julia Kristeva to engage, critique, and extend new materialist theories of rhetoric, ontology, ethics, and politics.
