Kesha James is a PhD student in Rhetorical Studies at the University of Georgia. Prior to enrolling at UGA, Kesha received both her BA and MA in Communication at Auburn University. Her research interests include the intersection of race, gender, popular culture, and social movements. Specifically, Kesha is interested in studying the ways in which the broader struggles of civil rights play out in popular culture.

Kesha was awarded a Graduate School Research Assistantship.
