Samantha Rippetoe is currently working toward a Ph.D. in Communication and Rhetoric. She earned her B.A. from Humboldt State University in Communication with a minor in Social Advocacy. She went on to earn her M.A. in Communication from Wake Forest University.

Rippetoe's research interests ask questions about the relationships between gender, citizenship, and social movements. Her most recent project researched House Bill 2, the Bathroom Predator Bill in North Carolina, and how it situated and discussed gender in relationship to public restrooms which offered insight into how the North Carolina House of Representatives viewed some gendered lives as more livable than others.

Samantha Rippetoe is studying to achieve her Ph.D. in Communication and Rhetoric. She specifically studies the relationships between gender, citizenship, and social movements.
