UGA Off to a Strong Start

The University of Georgia has successfully opened its season over the past several weeks at major national tournaments held at Georgia State University and the University of Kentucky.

At Georgia State, UGA defeated opponents from Dartmouth College, the University of Michigan, Wake Forest University, and numerous others. The squad advanced a team to the elimination debates in both the open and junior varsity divisions, with the junior varsity team carrying an undefeated record into the quarterfinals.

At Kentucky, UGA defeated opponents from Cornell University, the University of Southern California, Emory University, and numerous others.  Once again, the squad advanced a team to the elimination debates in both the open and freshman divisions, with the freshman team advancing to the semifinals after a hard fought win over Wake Forest University in the quarterfinals.

After only a few weeks, UGA is already off to a very strong start. The squad will look to continue their success in the coming weeks during competitions held at Vanderbilt University and Harvard University. Stay tuned for more updates. Go dawgs!
