Georgia Debate Union starts off the 2017-18 on a strong note!

Teams from the Georgia Debate Union have started the 2017-18 season on a very strong note, with teams earning top 10 finishes at each of the first three tournaments, including a victory at the Vanderbilt tournament.

The junior-junior teams of Nathan Rice and Johnnie Stupek and Advait Ramanan and Swapnil Agrawal finished tied for 5th at the season opening tournament at Georgia State University and finished tied for 9th at the University of Kentucky debate tournament.

The frosh-frosh team of Andrew Gollner and Josh Weintraub finished in 3rd place in the junior varsity division at the Georgia State opener as well.

Sophomore Alyssa Hoover and freshman Tripp Haskins won the Vanderbilt University debate tournament, finishing the tournament with an undefeated record.

Each debater has earned a speaker award at at least one of the season-opening tournaments.

We are proud of their accomplishments and excited to see what they and their teammates achieve the remainder of the debate season.  Go Dawgs!
