CommDawg Wins CURO Top Paper Award

The UGA CURO Research Symposium recognizes excellence in papers developed from work presented at each year's symposium. The 2021 Top Paper award in Arts, Humanities and Media goes to Mary Beth Dicks for her paper entitled "Recurring Tragedy: Gun Violence and the Presidential Rhetoric of Eulogy". Mary Beth Dicks is a Communication Studies minor who graduated in December 2020, and her mentor for this project was Dr. Belinda Stillion Southard. Our department is proud to recognize her hard work, and we look forward to hearing about Mary Beth's paper at this year's undergraduate colloquium.
