Image: Dr. Jaclyn Nolan has been selected for the 2022 Faculty Active Learning Institute. The three-week summer institute involves an intensive course redesign to promote increased student engagement and success through the implementation of active learning techniques. Participants in the institute will discuss active learning pedagogy and other evidence-based teaching practices to encourage higher order thinking and long-term content retention among students. Dr. Nolan will be contributing to the university's new “active learning” emphasis by reworking her approach to Comm 3300: Rhetorical Criticism. Congratulations and thanks to Dr. Nolan for representing the Department in this initiative!
