Graduate Student Contact Info mr39780@uga.edu Office: 513 Caldwell Hall Matty Ray is a first-year Interpersonal and Health Communication PhD student. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication Studies, as well as a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington. They have published papers in Health Communication, American Journal of Health Promotion, Digital Health, and Journal of Patient Experience, in collaboration with Dr. Grace Brannon as a research assistant at UT Arlington. Their research interests include LGBTQ+ health, family communication, stigma, as well as privacy and disclosure. Matty was awarded the University of Georgia Graduate School Doctoral Fellows Award in 2023.
